Dear Parents,
I hope you have enjoyed your summer!   As a parent who must sadly kiss his child goodbye each morning but still relishes her growing independence, I value more than ever your commitment to your children’s education and thank you deeply for entrusting me with their academic and emotional well-being each and every day.  I’m truly looking forward to an exciting, challenging, and fulfilling year in fifth grade.  It will be filled with new learning experiences and fun adventures for us all.
I believe that one of the keys to a successful school year is a firm working partnership between teachers and parents.  To this end, I would like to schedule a brief conference with each of you during the first few weeks of school.  These conferences would be a way for us to meet each other in advance of Back to School night; an opportunity for you to share your goals for your child in the coming months; and an opportunity for me to give a brief rundown of some of the things we’ll be doing this year.  In lieu of a face-to-face meeting, we can also conference over the phone or via email.  My email address is Jordan_Ullman@monet.prs.k12.nj.us and I can be reached by phone at (609) 806-4230 x6211.    Additionally, our class website is up and running, and can be accessed at http://ullman205.pbworks.com.
In order to help get us started, I have also included a questionnaire for you to fill out about your hopes for your child in the coming year.  You can fill it out and send it back with your child, or you can bring it to our conference.  You can even fill it out online on the website!  Let’s have a great year together!

                                                                                                         Mr. Ullman
